South Auckland Animal Rescue frequently asked questions.
Sadly, we have to say "no" to many deserving animals due to a lack of foster homes.
Please consider the very important part of rescue by becoming a foster.
What does it mean to foster?
To have an animal in your care for a period of time until the animal is adopted. This does not mean they are given to you to keep. We pay for vet bills, food, worm and flea treatment. We provide what you will need to keep the animal safe and happy until ready to leave. You give the animal love and care in your home to get them ready to be adopted. Foster homes of course can apply to adopt.
How do we apply to foster
How to apply to foster is simply fill out the form and submit. There will be a property inspection as part of the process.
How can we sponsor?

Can you help?
Recently we posted on our facebook page about roaming dogs killing cats and so far they have evaded capture. We have set up a givealittle page to purchase two traps that can not only humanely trap cats but can also humanely contain dogs once captured. In one week 8 cats that we know of in the Conifer Grove area have been killed by roaming dogs. We would like to try and put an end to this by purchasing two traps. The dogs will be scanned for microchips and we will be working with local council to put an end to this.
We have pictures and videos of the dogs in question so know which ones we are looking for. Please help us by supporting our fundraiser. And help us to help pet owners feel secure knowing that their pets are safe from harm. Thank you in advance.
